I just got this from Sirius... I emailed to ask if they were ever going to compete with XM and have a fully portable LIVE Sirius receiver, instead of that cheesy recorder...

regarding new SIRIUS equipment. At this time, we do not have an exact
release date for our portable receivers; however, some are expected by
the end of the year."
