I don't know if you have or not, but there is nothing better IMO.

Other than maybe breakfast foods....

If I had to choose two foods to live off of for the rest of my life, then it would be Italian and breakfast food and I wouldn't have a problem with that at all.

I agree 100% with the breakfast stuff. I could eat breakfast anytime of day. Repeatedly.

I am a tourist. Actually, I have certain things I like and some happen to be the touristy, dull, dumb things (such as veal parm I also like chicken parm too)

They don't have veal saltimbocca but they do have chicken saltimbocca. However, their description of chicken saltimbocca is contrary to the definition of saltimbocca I looked up in a cooking dictionary.

It's a west coast thing I'm sure. Our Italian restaurants suck compared to back east whereas the mexican restaurants back east suck compared to here. (A certain mexican restaurant back east that I heard good things about proved to serve the WORST MEXICAN FOOD EVER)

I'm not saying where it is, but I'm just saying . . .yuck!

i like the use of more meats and the heartyness of Northern Italian dishes. If in the mood for lighter fare then a Central Italian style such as Tuscan is good, especially something with lots of cheese (although I suffer the consequences later).

However, what we got here is really neither, although I guess it's more southern/Sicilian - ish a homogenized version of it rather. Americanized Italian I guess, heavy on tomato sauce, a little of everything with a major Sicilian influence. And "pizza", which as we know it here, really isn't.

Lasagna, chicken parm, that kind of stuff, with lots of cheese. I know it's not "real" but overall I like it best. I guess it's the AmericanHomogenizedBastardized version of "Italian".

And in Lost Angeles it's even more "Disneyesque" than "normal".

I think I might know where that is. Well yeah, guess our Mexican food isn't so Mexican afterall. I just go for the Margaritas anyway.

Kobi - You need to go t Sonny's Pizza in San Clemente. Absolutely amazing food, at a great price (under $15 for most entree's). Get there early, it fills up quick.

This place?

Here's their menu:

I don't think LT or Zap would approve as it does not have Veal Francaise or Saltimbocca, but I'll give it a shot next time I'm down south.

That'd be it...my favorite is Sonny's Famous Shells in either the shrimp and crab marinara or white wine clam sauce... I ALWAYS make it a point to go there while I am in town... Pizza and lazagna are good also.
