Does anyone know what car this is?

I saw it on my trip to Vancouver this weekend. It's an SVT, or so says the badge on it but I was stuck behind it and never got to see the side or front so I couldn't tell what it was. Anyone know?
Sorry for the poor pics BTW.

Hey, it is a Contour. Good call guys. I would have never guessed. Not that it's a Contour, just that Ford made an SVT Contour. Looks like from 1998-2000 only though.

200HP/169ft/lbs. 7.6 0-60 and top speed of 143MPH. Interesting...

Oh, but here's a fun fact. in 1998 6535 were produced in 1999 and 2000 2760 and 2150 were produced. I guess that explains why they were only made for those 3 years.

Yep, that's the SVT Contour. I had a MY2000 for a while. Pretty nice for its time. Handled well even with a lot of suspension travel. Power was good, but there was a weak range (3000-4000rpm) due to the dual intake runner tuning.

I had to "Bust dat ***" on one, in my Maxima one day... I was surprised he hung with me, but that didn't last long...

For it's day, it was adequaely powered.. But, as is teh case with most SVT products...

They could have done so much more...
Anybody remember the Taurus SHO, when it would do 145 MPH?
