Well if you paid the fine, they probably hit you with a reinstatement fee that is still due to lift the suspension from your record. Just paying the fine settles the charge. You may be asked to provide proof of the fine payment too.
Hope you get it worked out! I grew up about 60 miles to your north in Georgetown.

SC doesn't even have a record of me EVER having a DL there. The more I think about this whole thing, the more I laugh (Now that it's behind me.)

I hate that you had to go through all that BS just to update your DL.
