Miami Vice

Did anyone else see Miami Vice over the weekend?

I thought the movie was okay; but it could have been a lot better. You might say I was a little disappointed.

I thought the acting was good; it was more the Directing that I think I disliked.

A bit of character development would have been great as well.

My girlfriend said it felt just like watching a 2-hour episode. That's okay but I'd expect a bit more out of a theater movie.

I heard the guy who did the TV show also directed the movie.

I finally got to see Pirates and MV isn't on my list.

Anyone else my age feel like they are getting old since we're seeing more and more remakes of the stuff we grew up on? (if that makes any sense?)

    I have none....

I heard a radio review that said it was just like the show but with a darker feel to it.

Besides how much freakin' character development can you get from those two goofs.

They're working on Dukes of Hazzard II. It's going to go straight to DVD and does not feature the stars of the first except Willie.

HAHA, I hear that. I have seen so many remakes from when I was a kid.

I thought it could have been way better.
I just always hate how they promote movies now, "Must see movie of the year" and so on

Watchable but not great. I was also expecting more, plus some tie to the original series-> not a remake, but some tie in. Overall I’m glad I saw it, but not worth getting on DVD.

But this was the first “adult type” movie I had been to in quote a while: my last movie was The Incredibles and before that, Finding Nemo. Great to have kids-> gives me a reason to go see those kinds of movies, while doing it for the kids.

Seeing this list as being the "shows you grew up on" is rather frightening.

I've avoided watching any of the TV to feature turds.

That will change however if GREEN ACRES: THE MOTION PICTURE is released. I may have to write it.

Now THAT would be something to see.

Honestly, I bet The Incredibles and Finding Nemo are far more "adult" than Miami Vice.
