Man hersh you outwitted mother theresa (aka onbelay), and avoided a follow-up flame by pm which "might" ensue if this had happened...good thing it's just a story right. "I would never share an experience like that here." Smart man, but some like reflecting on mistakes they've made.

There must be a story. I've ran twice, well 3 times, and got caught twice. The first one was from a 7/11 owner, ripped me out of my old F150 as I tried to take off (I would have been gone but the girl and guy I was with weren't near my truck when I came back!). So like I said he pulled me out and we started duking it out. He had to show off to his buddy who is the bouncer at a local club, damn huge guy (he didn't help take me down, but he held my buddy back). It happened just like Culkin's shoplifting incident in Home Alone, except I was setup (like an idiot). Whatever, I got caught and learned my lesson, it was a damn soda and that bastard went way overboard, he got popped in the lip and I had a little black eye, I thought the blood was a little more satisfying. It's in the past, guess I was a jerk but got what I deserved, got arrested. Still on my record.

The other one I'm going to share was when I was getting some video for a mod I did in my black F150 I have now. I think I had finished the e-fans or something and went out @ night and did a brakestand on a very deserted and emty street. I hardly chirped them a couple times and this unmarked car started to follow me. He thought he was sly but in hs I watched for someone following me. Paid off, I didn't take the turn into my driveway and did a uturn a little before my street. Sure enough he took one (alas trying to be sly and keeping his distance). I gunned it as soon as I saw that, thought he was an "onbelay" trying to get my plates. I lost him easily in whatever the hell he was driving, I took a few turns and stopped, I was going to get out of my truck if he kept following me but he pulled into a parking lot. I decided to go back and saw him in that parking lot so I pulled in and looked right at him (we were only about 10ft away and could see his face litup talking on the phone). I just left and knew who he was calling, turns out he was an undercover Sgt. I lost him again and had to turn back to go home after about 10 mins of waiting. I came back down the main street to get home and I see about 3 cop cars on the side of the road talking to him, I'm a damn idiot so I passed by to see if it was his car they were talking to. Sure enough so as soon as I passed they were all splitting up to look for me, the sgt knew it was me but I guess the cops didn't catch on until a few secs after he turned around. I took the first street and floored it, they could easily see me as it was a park between us and they heard my exhaust as I found out later. I kept taking turns and pulled into a court as soon as possible, shut my lights off waited. Sure enough, here come the cop cars only a few seconds after I shut my lights off. This is what inspired me to get the a-pillar spotlight, those things lit up everything they touched. As they came around the corner the spotlights were searching and they looked down the random *** court I was in, they found me quick. I had it all on video when they came to my door and everything, the cop came to my door and had me get out. I did. They put me in cuffs and sat me down. They went through my camera and noted I need to be in a place like [the pics on the camera] if I want to be doing what I'm doing. I got away with a good warning in the end, they just took turns arguing about why I had to run, and argued about my mods being illegal, etc.

Wish I had some stories to compete, the rx-7 bit was hilarious. And the cornfield story, boy you got lucky. I'd enjoy an offroad chase, it's when you stop you get caught. Lucky sobs, those days are over.

stupid college kid driving my girlfriends 2000 Mustang GT

Leaving a party I was going down 2nd st in Edmond Oklahoma (four lanes with a turn lane) passing the college (UCO) and I had three buddies with me. I was jacking with this mustang next to me and we were probably doing 65 in a 45. No big deal...been at a party though. Cop is coming at us and when he goes to flip the U he almost hits the other mustang and almost has to stop. I had already put it to the floor and I am now doing 120mph down a 45mph zone. Luckily I hit all green lights, there were a few hills(in oklahoma I got lucky) and my buddy lived in some apartments about 1.5 miles from where cop pulled U. Scary part was when I topped a hill and two cars were stopped at red light and the other lane was about to be blocked by a car coming to a stop. Had to run up on the two cars and cut off the other car. all at over 100mph. Stupid stupid stupid.

Back in the days when I was in high school. I went into the local Winchell's Donuts and bought all the chocolate coverd ones. Just as the girl finished boxing them a cop came in. Yup, you guessed it, he wanted the chocolate ones. I ran out of the store. He yelled for me to stop and tried running after me, but he was one of those overweight motorcycle traffic cops. There was no way he could keep up with me.

Damn coppers. Back in those days they could never get me. Yeah.

Nope. I always pulled over. Out of the five or six times I got pulled over, I got one ticket for a 56 in a 35 in my old 94 Ranger. Oh, it helps to have an uncle who's a sargeant on the police force.

Never ran but I will let ya in on this one. But please don't do this. One night after work I stopped into a local watering hole for the infamous one beer! I lived in a small community of about 15,000 people, and sparsely populated.

So at 1:30 in the morning when the bar closed, I go out and get into my truck, and head home. I am like totally wasted. I must have had twelve beers and ten shots at least. At 1:30 in the morning in the winter there just ain't no cars on the roads, so I was doing about 80 in a 35 when a state trooper comes outta nowhere, and pulls me over. Man I just figured I was done for. This was it, time for the big house. But no, the trooper has me walk the line, and recite my abc's even backwards. All of a sudden he says, ok, your not that bad. But please keep it in the speed limit, the roads are slick this time of year! and he let me go! All I could figure, is he had something warm waiting for him when he got off duty and didn't wanna be bothered!

But please don't drive drunk, I don't anymore!

That'll put some hair on your chest... Kids used to ride those on the streets back in the early 80's (I wanted a 4-wheeler bad) but, before I could convince Mom to get me one, they banned them from paved roads, in town. A few kids got killed and seriously injured on them 93-wheelers) in the 1979 - 1984 time frame. I either wanted that, or the 6-wheeler...

Yep, when was the last time you saw a kid on a Go-Kart? I guess all of that stuff got banned too...

I don't see why a 4-wheeler woudl be banned- that's got to be safer than a motor cycle- just put some DOT approved lights on the emmer-effer, and better "street" tires. What else would it need- to be street legal? It's not like Motorcycles require seat belts. Make the owner's get a motor cycle license to operate it on city streets, and go for it...
In wyoming it is legal to drive 4 wheelers on the streets/highways. They require you to get your motorcycle license (can actually take the driving portion of the test on a 4-wheeler), and I think that is it. Maybe somebody from wyoming can shed some more light on it.

There was this one time I was on my snowmobile... and once on the rm 125, then the rm250, then the banshee a couple times...

Glad I grew up in the country.

btw: Police aren't too fond of banshee's driving through the middle of the city at 2am. And it's kinda hard to handle a banshee on cement at high speeds.. weaves back and forth, from what i was told

there was a guy in the supercharger/turbo section that ran from the cops, i think he is currently serving time.

i had a friend that had an off duty cop directing department store traffic tell him to pull over, he told the cop "your off duty, i'm not stopping" 3 nights latter he had the cops betting on his door at 3 am took him to jail. he went to a well know houston attorney and was told it would cost 10k, he said no way and hired one for 2k, he lost and was sentenced to 6 month in jail, his wife called first attorney and the price was now 15k, 1 week latter he got to go home , so running from the cop cost him 17k and a week in jail.
