Nope, he said all old men come on here talking about their prostate and their Aggie transplant(hemrroids). I never have, so I guess i am not old yet. I told you, that does not look like me, my beard is very short.

Kobi....no words will ever come out right to ease your pain, anger, frustration or any other emotion you're feeling. Just know that you are in my prayers.

Cancer is an ugly disease. It took my aunt when I was young and then my dad 9 years ago. The only advice I can offer you has already been thrown at you 100 times but I'll say it again...Keep a positive attitude and know in your own mind that you will beat this.

If you ever need anything, although the chance of you needing anything from a Jersey guy is pretty slim, but if you do, just ask.

Oh yeh....I've used "Dear Sirs" numerous times.

Thanks Brew -

As far as ever needing anything from a Jersey guy goes . . .

it's too bad you're not in Princeton. I'll be there in about two weeks. There's a micro brewery/restaurant on Nassau St. I'd have been happy to buy you a beer at.

Well,,, Princeton is only a 2 hour ride for me. It's not uncommon to travel that distance for a free beer. I've traveled further for less...LOL

Y'all should carpool with billycouldride and meet me there. I'd treat you both to lunch and beer.

Billy, it's Triumph, the place you recommend to me a while back.

And Chad, er . . . I mean Vader . . . you should take a day trip and drive up and join us as I won't be making it to Baltimore this trip. (Although I may be doing the Johns Hopkins thing soon enough)

Please refrain from the use of my name (Serotta) and "older" in the same sentence, or I will send my pet, Dino, and his keepers, Fred and Barney, after you in retaliation.

In the meantime, I notice it is 11:30 PM, and time for me to assume the "prostate" position. I'm tired.....

Talking

Kobi...
I have always used "Dear Sirs" because that's the way I was taught. Is there a 'PC' version that I should be using? Maybe..."Dear Persons"? Thanks for including me in the Old Timer catagory...I resemble that remark. Geezerdom is fun.
Well, I have to go to work...up-hill...draging my canoe behind me. "Forward into the past."

kobi,

the triumph sounds good, havent been there since last summer.

if the scheduling works out, i'd be up for it.

i would be riding down from morris county, probably on my motorcycle, if the weather permitted.

i'll wear an el bandito mask & cape so you'll be able to identify me easily.
if you guys turn out to be o.k., i'll take the disquise off prior to eating.

(i won't let you pay my way, but the offer is appreciated.)

UPDATE

Results for three of four tests back today.
Seems bloodwork numbers are normal
Bone scans = normal
CAT scans = normal

only thing remaining is to find out what the things on my lungs are. If they turn out to be benign then it appears the only place I have cancer is the prostate. Although not great, I'll take it over the alternative.

Time for a dancing banana!

(Who knew one could be happy to have cancer in just one place!)

So . . . lunch with Kobi on the East Coast goes on without incident!!!

Congrats on the great news.

The things on the lungs, maybe they're nipples.
