pfc bradbury funeral
Does anyone have a website or phone number for the Patriot Group? I can't find it.
I'd like to see about joining, I'm only a couple of hours from St Joe. I think I can maintain my self control.

Thanks
I don't currently ride "yet" but I joined anyway.
That may finally change now....
From the boards on thier site, looks like there is going to be a good turn out of Patriot Guards.
I'll have to check with my finance manager and secretary (aka wife) to make sure that my schedule is clear and funds available for gas. If all goes, I'll be there.
Last night, 11:10 pm, we had a procession of 142 motorcycles (and one F150) escort the remains of SPC Jeremy Jones from the Omaha airport to the funeral home, where he will rest until tomorrow morning's services. Think of the message that sends the family and the public: we didn't know him, we didn't have to. A three mile long train of people who want the family to be respected and thanked.
Anyone wanting information on the Patriot Guard is encouraged to go to their website. I would specifially encourage you to look at the letters from the family members. http://www.patriotguard.org/home
Most of the members of the PGR are both motorcyclists and veterans, but neither is a requirement. A desire to do the right thing and show respect are all that is asked of members.
Protesters? They almost don't exist in my world. In my world, I am attending the funeral of a fallen hero; a brother at arms. I am there to thank the family for their sacrifice, and show my respect. There is one mission: to show respect and shield the family from those who would do otherwise. Yes, there may be protesters, but I scrape dog crap off my shoe every once in a while, too.
Krohbar or anyone else in the Omaha area, feel free to join us outside the church. Bring a flag, and when the casket goes by, a salute is appropriate for veterans and a hand over the heart is appropriate for others.
The above comments reflect MY opinions and are not endorsed by the Patriot Guard Riders (but I'm proud to be associated with them)

I gotta tell you. The Patroit Riders are AWESOME to see. I'm glad so many were there. There were, in my estimation, about 300 bikes. Of course, seemed there were only 5-10 of the protestors. And is was so nice to see them drag their kids out, and hold signs saying that 'God Hates You'. One woman was apparently glad that 9/11 happened. Sad, pathetic humans.
But, here are just a few snap shots of the Patroit Riders!

Unless someone really wants to see the trash photos, I'll leave those out.

I gotta say the photo of all the bikes brings a tear to me eye…
God bless you and your family…
Forgive me if what I am about to say is inappropriate for your thread but I just have to say it. First, I am a veteran myself and I do believe every American has the right to free speech to say what they like. I too would have giving my life to protect Americans First Amendment rights, however for me when ANY American practices their First Amendment rights in where it puts down and/or degrades those who protect that right I draw a line and can not accept it.
While I am a very, very tolerate person I can not nor would I be able to tolerate another American protesting those who gave them a right to act like a moron. They can act like morons all they want but say something negative towards those who have served or are serving in my presence they should prepare themselves for an *** whooping and rightly so because that is MY right.
So long as this country protects flag burning as a First Amendment right of “speech” then I expect MY First Amendment right of decking someone to be protected as “speech”. Burning a flag is an “action” my decking someone is an “action” as well, in my eyes and my opinion they are equal.
And in my sincere opinion and belief any person who degrades/mocks/protest against a fallen American solider is NOT an American and if they are should have their citizenship revoked and sent out of this country because it is completely UN-American and UN-patriotic to ever degrade/mock/protest a fallen solider…

I'm with you 01.
I'd spend a night or two in jail to knock one of them ignorant *** protestor's front teeth out. That'll send them the message at least.
And I don't care what anybody thinks about it either. Apparently some people are in need of a good ol' fashion country *** whoopin!

Now that I think about, I really just wanted to share what these morons had to say. And thanks lady, for bringing up another generation of hate.

Just to add my $.02:
Yes, there were five people there with signs. However, the "way" of the PGR is to focus on the family and friends of a fallen hero.
There were close to 300 PGR members and supporters there today; isn't their message the one we should be making sure is heard?
The message of the majority is appreciation and respect.
Many thanks are due to Omaha and surrounding LEOs and Omaha Fire Dept. for their support and hard work. Notice in the first pic that the bikes are parked 4 and 5 wide across a two lane road. Total procession was just under 500 motor vehicles, according to on OPD officer I spoke with at the end of the day.
OFD's flag was suspended from two ladder trucks; pic is from approximately 1/2 mile away (note size of cars in vehicle for perspective)

Wish I could have gone, turned out it was in St. Joseph Mo wich was 6 hrs drive vs St. Joe Mo which is 2 hours for me. I just didn't have enough gas in the ol pickem up truck nor the funds to put any in and still get to work next week.
Awesome turn out from PGR, that is moving.
What a message! Actions speak louder than words.

This particular funeral was Omaha, NE. I do have to say, my range of emotions swang from one extreme to the other. As I drove West on Farnam, and saw that trash (and, they even had signs calling bikers f@gs, and, I own a motorcycle...) I was furious. Another 1/4 block, that faded as I saw the rows of motorcycles, as Onbelay stated, 4-5 bikes wide on a 4 lane street, and all the flags, man, I couldn't be more proud of our community and those of other communities standing together to show their over-whelming support for this fallen hero, and his family. I then drove by the funeral site a little while later. I regret leaving my camera at home at this point. My wife and I were off for the days errends. Those 2 OFD ladder's with the flag held up, that was also an awesome sight to behold.
Army Cpl. Jeremy Jones.
Rest in peace soldier!

This should be a lesson of reality. While many TV shows and their polls make it “appear” the country is about 50/50 or a bit more “against” the war the true facts are the vast majority of Americans are for the war and stand behind and support our troops. I think it was the other day on Fox someone had a poll that showed a majority, slim at that, of Americans were against the war.
However the poll results where based on 900 people, not even relevant for a city the size of Los Angles when you look at true statistics. That’s just how far un-patriotic Americans, like these scumbags that protest a funeral, will go to try and spread lies. It’s not untruths or false information as the politically correct would have you believe but actual lies backed up by no facts whatsoever.
They, the nut cases, always claim they will have large amounts of protesters show up and they always fall drastically short, instead of thousands they have a few, like 10 to 30 people, and the few who do show up are professional un-patriotic scumbags that go from one protest to the next. Have to wonder who pays them and supports them and God help them if I was ever to see one face to face with one of their stupid signs…

The turn out was great, 300 bikes. Plus many many many more with trucks, cars, flags, signs. And yes the "bad guys" did show up at the funeral but not at the grave site... and there was only 10 of them and they did stay 300ft away and packed up there stuff right at an hour before the funeral, so the family never even seen them!
One man I visited with said he was thankful for the PHELPS group.. I looked at him with a strange look and he said if not for those protestors all of this extra good would not be happening/ He was right.
As luck would have it there was an local air show going on at the same time.. A group of P51 pilots read the paper that morning and called the funeral home and asked if they could do the missing man formation. It was just so much emotion I cant even describe it.
If any of you ever can participate in something like this please do. It really stirs the soul and lights a fire that sometimes gets lost because of the daily things we take for granted and the day to day grind.
thanks to all
John
