Just a few reasons that I don't like Texas:

1. They are full of themselves
2. UT (I graduated from OU)
3. Caucasians are the minority.

I'll let you know what I think after I've been there....

So far according to reports and hear say; heat, tons of fire ants, heat, snakes, heat, more freaking armored opossums, heat, ground so dry you have to water your house, did I mention the heat?
Graham is a neat little town in the middle of nowhere. You have to wonder why it is there. It is much nicer than nearby Breckenridge(my birth place). You need to make it to Possum Kingdom Lake. You will like it, I am sure.

Stay far away from Houston. There is nothing good here. The criminals and Mexicans have control of this city.

Stay away from Austin too. It may be fun for a little while, but its filled with stupid hippies, which come from that college they have there.

My best suggestion would be Fort Worth. Then of course, theres the city Im about to move to, College Station. There is no better city than that.

Mid-Cities between Dallas/ Ft. Worth. Ft. Worth is to the West, Irving and Dallas to the right, Arlington to the south. Best place to live in my opinion. 10 minutes from almost everything.

I dont know how much site seeing we'll be doing..
My buddy just moved there a few months ago, he got a job as engineer/designer/consultant something or another at the stadium bleacher manufacturing plant there. We're going down either next weekend or the weekend after to visit and see thier new baby.

Best of all it gives me a reason to justify to the finance manager (AKA wife) to get the new garmin navigation system that I've been wanting.

I was going to The Cliffs to play golf one time with a banker. We stopped in at that company so he could give some info to the owner.

I would not recommend living anywhere near big D unless you like traffic. Especially north, east, west, south, aw hell just move west of Fort Worth and you'll be fine.

Oh yeah, stay away from south of Ft. Worth too, we don't need any new houses coming around here.

Ive never been to TX, but its some where Ive wanted to visit for a LONG time, and some where I think I might like to live. Two main reasons
A. Red state
B. I would be able to buy the guns I cant own in CT, and my aresnal would grow ten fold in the first year!!

Was glad to see this thread, but the title certainly scared me for a minute! I am hoping to relocate to Texas next year, about this time. My wife and I are pretty decided on Austin, hope to visit there this year, possibly August. From what I have heard and seen, Austin seems like and awesome place.

I'd rather deal with all that again than this crazy *** weather we have in AL. I lived in Granbury before we moved here. It's about 30 min SW of Fort Worth.
