I was just actually at a store buying an ant Killer. I bought some little cubes that Crazy3d was talking about. you place around the house, the Ants go inside, eat what ever they want, then DIE! I placed 15 of them around the house! I havn't seen one go inside it yet

In a little bit I'm going to try to push them into it if they don't do it themselfs!

The best is called Taro (sp?) Ant Killer... it is a sugar water type paste with arsenic in it... they get it, take it home, then they all eat it at home and die...

WARNING: Not to be used on hulks.

If nuthin' else works - BURN EM OUT!

Seriously, for either / or ants / roaches try Boric Acid powder -

Ants : This past year ants have been on a rampage. This homemade treatment has worked very well even on both carpenter ants and pharaoh ants.

Ingredients:

1 Tablespoon of Boric Acid, 1 tsp of Sugar, 4 oz water, Cotton *****.
Mix Boric Acid and Sugar in a bowl. This can be poured over a cotton wad in a small dish or bottle cap. Keep this from drying out for continued effectiveness. Place Cotton ***** in path of Ants.

Roaches: Boric acid powder, is often called "roach powder". Here is a great remedy known as
"Boric Acid Roach Exterminating Formula"

Just put a little powder in some open container (like an old cap) and put it in corners, dark places, etc. They eat it, then die, and become poison to all their buddies and cousins.

Rid your home of silverfish, those hungry, nasty-looking insects that live under your sink, your drawers, or closets and feast on valuable clothing and important papers.

We "rehabbed" a home once that was infested, and this stuff did the trick!

You could TRAIN them, then go on that program on the Animal Channel hosted by Mario Lopez where pets do tricks for prize money...

Get a whistle, and turn them into a little drill team.

Hut...two...three...fourp!

I bought a mechanical bug killer for $19.99 plus shipping and handling.

Here is how it works, get two blocks of wood lable one #a and the other # b.

catch ant put on block a, firmly holding block b swing it down on to block a, crushing target insect.

The said impact kills most bugs, caution not finger friendly.

All this advice is good, but.... it may be too late. If you are seeing all these ants now, they have probably already eaten a mojority of the supporting beams in your house. The house might just crumble to the ground one day. Could happen.

Good luck!

Where I come from, "wood eating ants" are called termites.

You don't have carpenter ants down there? The big black ones up here will eat a ton of wood.

When I was a kid, I worked with this guy cutting fire wood. Sometimes we'd cut through a big, old oak and thousands of big, black ants would be all over. They would have just about hollowed out a two hundred year old tree.

I don't know about down there, but up here the big black ants as well as termites, eat at our houses.

Yeah, there are carpenter ants, I was just kidding, but termites do a lot more house chomping than any ants...

LOL!

They can use the pencil to mark the spot ("X") for what they want to eat for lunch, then eat the pencil for dessert.
