2008 Silverado
No question about an excellent powertrain, thats the only redeeimg feature of my fathers Avalanche and im sure the interior will be drastically improved as were the Tahoe/Yukon. But the proportions of the bed side height to the roof height are awful! That thing looks like a Kodiak with a half-ton bed. Ford Certainly got that right with the increased bed side height on our trucks.

The front 3/4 view looks nice (approaching); but the rear 3/4 view (departing) is not so nice.
Perhaps it'll look better with some chrome step rails, tint, 22" deep-dish rims, and a tonneau cover. What I like about Chevy is that you can get flaresides, even on their "SuperCrew" variant. Plus it's red so- that only looks good on Ferrari's, Corvettes, Vipers, and Dodge Rams.
But, given the afterthought/chizzled look of the current F-150 SuperCab flareside; I don't know how that would look on the 2004-Pres F-150 SuperCrew (If it was offered).
I'm sure the fleetside variant will look good.
Ironically, I like the looks of teh current gen Silverado Crew Cab, flare-side... Not too sure about this one...

Heck - with that rear fender like it is, you could easily turn it into a DUALLY!
All you need to do is to run 2 4" wide rims on each side! hehehehehe

With things like auto dual zone climate control, an auto 4 transfer case and available DVD WITH a sunroof. All this on the SLE model which is GM's equivalent of Ford's XLT. A couple of these items aren't offered by Ford in the Lariat or even the King Ranch. You can get these things in the Explorer but not the full size trucks.
The only reason the F150 is #1 is because GMC divides their sales between two trucks, the Silverado and the Sierra. If you combine the sales GM consistently outsells Ford.

GM doesn't group Sierra/Silverado(1500, 2500, 3500) but if they did and put it up against Ford's F-series(150,250,350), you lose. Inferior product, crappy build quality, copycat designs, and bull**** marketing. It all adds up to a bunch of zeros for GM if you ask me. As was stated by Mike, BYE BYE GM! If you like them so much why dont you go traded your **** in on one. Being that they are the great trucks you say they are. Sounds like someone didnt do their homework.

BTW before you call someone a troll get your facts straight first.
