So there's hope for the eternally sorry Texas Rangers next year after all. Looks like Detroit is the team to beat, after years of futility. The Rangers have the futility part down.

Atlanta didn't make it to the post season, and Detroit's going to the World Series.

I think I need a drink.

Walk off 3 run homer with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th.

I predict the least watched World Series.

Do you think Detroit and the Tigers care how many people around the country watch? I might catch a game or two if it was someone other than the Tigers. How many people really care to watch if it isn't their team anyway. What a stupid comment.

Well, if that's how you feel, then why are you posting in this thread?

I don't care for football, but I don't go to football threads and say how much it sucks.

Baseball has lost a lot of appeal to me but...

GO TIGERS!!!!

I'm their new biggest fan.

When they knocked out the Yankees it cemented my support.

Im a big angels fan, watched most of there games on tv and went to a couple. I work right across the street from the stadium so i guess i have to be a fan huh. ha. I am glad Detroit put the A's out just because they put the angels out. haha. I hope that St. Louis takes it they seem to have a pretty solid team Except yesterday when the mets whooped there ***** big time.

Series 2-1! still 1 more in STL. Suppan on the mound tonight. AND FYI the Cardinals don't really have a solid team. They would but they have all been down with injuries this year. I mean we have Mulder who was hurt most the year, Izzy is out, Jimmy is still banged up, Eckstien is a little banged up, Rolen's shoulder is still acting up. Imagine this Cardinals team if they were healthy. We all know when healthy Mulder was a beast,Izzy was one of the best closer(minus this year), Jimmy is the best CF in the game (if was healthy all year, look at the last couple of years), Rolen is the best 3b in the game (if healthy), and Eckstien is an on base percentage type of guy(if he didnt suffer a concussion. For the most part I think that the Tigers stayed healthy didn't they?
