Truth is; you can't get too fancy in truck design.

You'll never see trucks evolve or "wow" their audiences like cars do.

See 2005 Camry versus 2006 Camry.

Still a car, but light years better looking... With trucks, all you can really do is improve the handling, braking, payload and maybe the ride characteristics. You can refine it more, but- it's still gonna look like a "truck".

That's true, BUT.....what about the lightning? That was a truck that was "WOW". maybe not for everyone, but still a "WOW" truck.

Good point....

OK, aside from the Lightning...

I almost bought one in October 2003, a Sonic Blue Lightning. There I stood, Pewter Corvette, Black Expedition, or Sonic Blue Lightning. Powerfold seats, 2 seats, or a powerful engine? Three rows of seats, 2 passengers, or 3 passengers. Beautiful- albeit it tiny car, Big-Body SUV on chrome 20's, or glorified pick-up on ugly stock 18's.

I got the Expedition...

Good thing too because a wek or two later, I found out my son was baking in the oven. I'd have had to get rid of the Corvette or Lightning anyway...

Besides, I loved the Sonic Blue, but- wasn't sure I could live with that color for an extended period of time... Black, yes, white, yes, silver, yes, even red (gulp) yes. Sonic blue was different, but- I wasn't sure...

Why can't they use their concepts for cryin out loud. What is the point of concepts if they're not going to use them, this is beautiful.

WAY TO GO GM ITS NOT YOUR STORES THAT CANT SELL TRUCKS ITS YOUR LAIM *** DESIGN TEAM THAT MAKES THEM UNSELLABLE. I GUESS IF YOU LIKE FEMALE TRUCKS THIS IS IT FOR YOU.
