New Silverado?
As much as I want to like this new Chevy (I'm a life time GM guy owning my first Ford) it DOES look like it's been put together with parts from all the other trucks. Did some one leave the hood open for the pic? The front fender flares are way over done.
What sucks:
1. The tailgate looks just like the F-150.
2. From the 3/4 view it looks like the Colorado
3. The box looks like the Dakota
4. Those roof rails look like the Xtera
5. The front clearly resembles the Titan
6. Etc...
What I like:
1. The wheels remind me of the wheels on the 91&92 Z/28
2. I'm down with the chrome grille (the head lights suck)
3. If the dash board is the same as the new Tahoe, I like it.
Mountaineer said it right, GM needs to try harder or ther're done. I'm very dissapointed.

Seeing this Chevy has me curious. I'm interested in seeing what Nissan does with the Titan on their first restyle/freshening. No matter how much they put their fingers in their ears and pretend not to hear, they simply must know that the biggest complaint about their truck is that it's prison b$tch ugly...

I had expected more from GM. I think the Tahoe is nice. Even the Avalanch is ok. I thought they might follow the trend with the pick up. I guess not.
Also, if the GMC gets any cues from the Yucon, it won't look so hot either.
I say all this because as of yet, the "new" F150 hasn't really grown on me either. I like my '04 heritage though.

Wow, and i was worried that Ford may lose the best selling truck title to chevy in 07.....I guess not.
I really expected more than this. I was thinking it would resemble the avalanche/tahoe closer....if it did, it would be a sweet truck.
The chevy boys will think its the greatest thing since sliced bread...

It really does look like a cross between a Cheby Colorado and a Dakota.
I know that it's supposed to be as nice inside as our new Fords, but the outside is butt ugly.
From that pic of the interior though, it still looks a few years behind the Titan, and many years behind our lovely Fords.

Quotes from my brother when I showed him pics of the new Silverado. Also, he currently drives a '98 Silverado and is shopping for a new truck.
That is the ugliest truck I have ever seen... That beats out the old avalanche
The cab area/doors almost look like a brand new Tacoma. WTF! This thing is gawd awful! If anything I say they bring back the 2000 body style, with the rectangular head lights. This is what you get when you take every truck on the market and throw it in a blender.

For the love of GAWD are the front fenders flared out like a step side bed?

I'm sure the Chevy forums read something like:
"Wow...great truck....they took they best from each competitor, blended them nicely together....nicely done GM
"
Personally I don't care for it but I fully admit part of the turn off is the GM name plate.
