"Alright guys, you've played a great game... now go out there and don't score!"

"The 20, the 10, the five, ... Oh no, he is going to score!"

That is pretty screwed up. Maybe the kids on the loosing team should just face the fact that they suck and quite crying about it.

I tell you what if a coach here lost a game by more than 50 his own school might suspend him for being an idiot.

Next thing you know they will get rid of the intentional walk in baseball.....

no not get rid of, but require for the hitters that dont have a hit by their last time at bat during the game. Everyone should hit the ball at least once, it's only fair..

I think actually they should just keep a tee near home plate. If the guys is in his last at bat, with two strikes on him and doesnt have a hit for the day, he gets to hit off the tee.

Sorry to admit it, but I am from that state and also played high scool ball.

We must not make the other team feel too bad because they truly suck.

If the other team can't compete and wants to save face when they have no right or talent to do so. They can forfeit.

No coach or school should be limited of their talent because their opponent lacks it.

If it were pop warner then I'd understand, but I've lived in towns across this country that were rabid over high school football.

On one side, if I was there cheering on my kids team, and the opposing team was up by 5-6 touchdowns, it was the 4th quarter, we had no hopes of coming back, and the other coach kept sending in his starters to anialate my kids team, I'd probably be a little pissed. but if they are behind by the same amount and hte couch starts sending in his 2nd and 3rd string qb's and running backs and even they are scoring touchdowns, then Who the hells fault is that? If my teams 1st string can't block their 3rd string, something is seriously wrong with my team.

Had this happen twice in a youth football league I helped coach.
Playing really bad teams, we were smoking their a$$es.
To avoid a run up we had defence play offence, still scored.
We had just the linemen play offense, still scored.
Other coach was bitching. We told him we did all we could to not score, but we weren't going to tell our kids to just lay down.

What can ya do if they just really suck. Maybe that team should just quit and call it a mercy win.

Damn PC whine a$$es.

Sled...

Well I'm not surprised to see this come out of Connecticut!
Real football players come from Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, California, ect.
They need to go back to playing hockey (field or ice) where the score is kept low and no one gets their feelings hurt........GEEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZISH

See these six states up here in the north east corner, they call New England? Look away! The rest of the country should not look to New England for advice on what to do every where else. This place sucks! They want to make it so that every one can be a winner, in everything. Just lower the standard so that even the dumbest of the dumb can succeed. Cater to the lowest common denominator.

Every day there is something else they want to make easier. They want to give kids diplomas even though they can't pass the required tests. They want to raise minimum wage, but mine will stay the same.

Things may suck in the country now but if the rest of the country follows New England, everyone will be too stupid to realize how much it sucks.

Maybe they could just stop keeping score, because it's not who wins or loses, it's how you play the game. Right?

this is really going to make it much worse. in order to save his job the winning coach will have his players escort the losing team to the endzone. then pummel them for 1 more TD. now repeat. yeah that'll make losers feel like heros.

Then they should institue a ten run rule equivalent, like once the other team is up by seven touchdowns, the game is over, if it is really an issue.
