Went with mrs zap to see

last night...

now as much as she loves the band even she said "lets get out of here"
well before they were done..
no opening act just them
they sucked in plain english

well i got in my seat and took a 1 1/2 hr nap...
when i woke up i could have sweared it was the same song playing

everything sounded the same...
and for a professional act to take 3 to 5 mins between every song to make sure they're in "key"
and the ventilation system in the orphium theater was not working..
it must have been 120 degrees where we were seated..(nosebleed section row x)
well thats just no good

the best part of the night was getting there..
took the "T"..green line..
but the trolleys were down because of a tree across the tracks..
so while waiting for the busses..
sky got BLACK

thunder
lightning
HAIL

what an adventure...

remind me not to do that again...

Zap, you are going to see the wrong kind of act! My wife and I went to see Slaid Cleaves and his little band Saturday night. He put on an awesome show. I liked his music before the show, now I am a real fan. Bought 2 cds at the show. BTW, he is considered Americana gere, and hails from Maine but has lived in Austin TX the last 15 years or so. Give him a listen.

 

That sucks that you had a bad experience w/ Tool. The only good thing about your show was no opening act; I've seen them 5 times and w/ the exception of the '97 Lollapalooza, in Corpus Christi, Tx, they have had The Melvins open for them. Now that band sucks plain and simple.
