All right, my friend is single, so it doesn't really matter to him. This is my wifes suggestion, and one that I think I'm going to take her up on: I go to church with them this morning, celebrate Mother's Day, and have a nice family lunch. Then I'm free to fish all afternoon...

Like I said, her idea, so who am I to question her on Mother's Day?

Sounds like you have good communication in your family.

Now please tell me you didn't forget your own mother.

OHHHH CRAAAAPPPP!

J/K We sent out cards 4 days ago, they should have got them yesterday...

On a different note, what do you think of this. In our backyard, we have a tire swing hanging from about a 30 foot rope. There is currently no wind, and the tire is not moving, nor is the large oak tree that it's attatched to. But the rope is vibrating! There's no wind! No one is out side! It's been vibrating for about 30 minutes... Any explanations??

I think if you've been sitting there for 30 minutes watching a rope vibrate, your nuttier than the squirrel who's probably messing with your head

Either that, you're suffering from wake and bake

There's no squirrel...I looked. I'm military, so it up would be a BAD thing.

Both my 4 year old and my 6 year comfirmed that my vision is not going out, they see it moving too. And I didn't suggest it, just asked them to look at it and tell me what they saw... I haven't been staring at it for 30 minutes, just noticed it when I stepped out back for a cigarrette. A regular cigarrette, mind you...And I looked later, and it's still doing it... Freaking 8th Wonder of the World type crap.... Well, 9th, after we include Mattineers misfortunes...

Ouch.... I lost my wallet Friday, so I had to ask my wife to give me money to go get her stuff... That wasn't exactly pleasant, but at least I was able to get her a few things... Sounds to me like you may have put the truck before the wife...And why did you wait until the day before anyway. At least I have an excuse: I'm a well known procratinator!

this thread reminded me of a some lyrics from the replacements.

this is not a judgement on anyone here at all, its just something that has stuck with me. i first heard this while enjoying the closing years of my mis-spent youth.

"the ones that love us the best, are the ones we lay to rest, and visit their graves on holidays at best.

the ones who love us the least, are the ones we die to please, and if its any consolation, i dont begin to understand them."

You're now one step closer to assimilation, resistance is futile!!
