Who here has taken an aptitude test while applying for a job? I took a machinist apprentice test at the start of the year and passed. I thought for sure I would at least get an interview along with a fellow worker at my current job who also tested and passed. Neither of us got an interview! What are your experiences with this type of testing to get trade types of positions?

 

The only aptitude test I ever took was when I went to join the Army.
I Passed!!

The recruiter said,"Son, your scores indicate you would be equally proficient with either a gun or a broom."

They gave me both!

He also told me that I was lucky to get the score I did or I would have been a Marine.

 

I took an aptitude test for a company at a job fair type of thing. 26 took the test 4 of us passed, and all 4 of us got interviews. Their test was very difficult and because of that they interviewed everybody that passed. They ended up offering a job to myself and 2 others.
