I forgot...

Knight Rider the movie can't possibly be any worse for Hasselhoff's career than this gem.

Yeah- I wasn't talking about the 2nd iteration of Knight Rider, which was utter and complete BS... (Or, for a worse example, Airwolf, minus Stringfellow "Let me Sober up" Hawk, and Dominic Santini, replaced by Sin Jinn Hawk, and some other clowns, not to mention the "PBS/Dr. Who graphics and sound effects..."

If you're not gonna do the original justice (Battlestar Galactica on Sci-Fi, is actually better, albeit darker, than the original) then don't do it at all.

Knight Rider, without a Trans Am (A black one) and a suitable driver (I'm thinking Matt Damon or The young guy from Perfect Storm) if not Hasselhof, then puttign any money into this, will not be good.

In fact, I think it would be stupid to launch this on the big screen; that needs to go straight to HBO, Network TV or DVD. Kids under 20 have probably never seen Knight Rider, and kids under 25 probably wouldn't want to see it. Like it or not, they are the primary target demographic in the theaters; they make or break movies... The rest of us have wives, kids, car notes, bills, etc. to worry about, so we are particular about what we spend our $$ to go see.

I'm just glad we have a dollar theater nearby. If I'd paid $8.00 a pop to see Alien -vs- Predator, I'd have been pissed.

I have to agree with vader716. they can update it a little but it has to be a black T.A for the car. Didnt they make a T.A in the late 90's? Cant really use any of the cars of today as they dont have fast look to them the way the cars of the 80's did. When i see the new charger i always think what has dodge done to what was a great car. They missed the retro look bay a mile.

Just my .02

Yeah, that 1993 - 2002 T/A was dead-sexy...
Especially the 330 HP Ram Air T/A that could run 0-60 in 4.8 seconds... 0.1 off a (C5) Corvette's ****...

I loved the T/A (1993 - 2002) but could never fall in love with that gen Camaro... RS/Z-28 or SS, I still didn't like it... But, I did love the 1990 - 1991 RS Camaro... Heck, I would have turned down a Z-28 in 1991-92 for a weaker (but better-looking) RS. That big **** wing on the Z-28, just didn't do it for me...

But, in 1990- the IROC-Z would have gotten the nod over the RS.

Amazing- the "baddest" Pony car out then was the 5.7L IROC-Z, and it only had 250 HP and 350 lb/ft or torque, while the 5.0L Stang had 225 HP, and 300 lb. ft (then was restated at 215 HP, and 290 lb ft. in the 5.0, then "maintained" when the 4.6L came out in 1995 ~or was that 96?)

Today, the ALTIMA has 260 HP, as does the Maxima, and there are 4 bangers with 270 HP (Evo) and 300 HP (WRX STi)... the meanest 4 cylinder out back in the early 90's was GM's 2.3L Quad 4 with 180 HP, powering the Beretta GTZ and the Olds Calais coupe... The 4 cylinder actually had more nutz than the V-6 offerings, just not as smooth...

My, how things have changed...

Are you talking about the GM Camaro Concept or the Photoshop drawings of the 40th anaversary Trans AM? The Trans Am pictures will be in the July issue of Hot Rod magazine along with " a Cuda concept from the Challenger Concept, and a Cougar Concept off of the Ford Mustang."

http://www.millstonegraphics.com/transam/taconcept.html

I know this guy from the trans am forum I visit

I hadn't seen those 40th annv. pics. I figured someone would make a model or rendering, looks cool.

edit: I like the last black one w/ the honeycomb looking wheels.

Yeah, it looks good to me...

The firebird on the hood would have to go; I don't think today's buyers would gravitate towards that like they did in the late 70's early 80's..

If it talks and has turbo boost and pursuit mode I'll take it.

I generally only listen to AM anyhow....
