People living in the 3rd world want a better life for themselves so try to get to a first world country anyway they can.
I don't blame the people themselves because I have been in the countries they come from and if I were in the same position, I would do anything to take my family to a better place.
I do blame our government for lacking the political will to keep our borders secure though and continuing to throw aid at these sh1thole countries when which just props up their regeimes.
What these places need is better governance so their own people stay there.
Rant over

Today I paid the equivalent of $6.89/gal.
Of that, 80% is tax which goes towards payng for my free healthcare, free pension and welfare payments to the illegal immigrants flooding Europe and the local White Trash who can't be arsed to work.
Of course, thats on top of the 40% income tax, 10% National Insurance tax and a flat 17.5% sales tax on anything else you buy.
Oh yeah, forgot the property taxes

You have to make $200,000.00 a year (US) just to live nicely there. as nice as you would on $40K a year here in Texas.

I didn't come back by choice. I was going to move the family over to Houston but just at that time, my wife became ill and it was impossible to move.
I'll be back though

Something is wrong here.
Something is wrong here.

it costs the Saudis $1 to take barrel out of the ground.
Tar Sands oil costs 10 to 20 times that to get the oil out.
