Well, I'm done with the me versus you thing... You said what you had to say, I said what I had to say. Obviously we are both educated, thinking people, even if we don't agree.

Yet, you turn right around and admit to doing the same thing... You've made assumptions (Formed an opinion) about me based on the same minimal amount of information that you think I'm wrong for using/assuming about people and their extremist views on this site...

Just so you'll know- here are a few things about me:

1. I'm against abortion. (Unless there's been a rape, incest, or the mother is at increased risk from carrying. It's 2006, they have had sex-ed in schools since the 80's. Unwanted pregnancy can be avoided, don't kill the baby because it might be a hindrance, they should've thought of that before getting naked.)

2. I'm against welfare. Hard times fall on everyone, and for those- sure welfare, food stamps are a good thing. A crutch until you can get back on your feet. However, for those career assistance recipients, I say no. Nevertheless, if we have no choice, then I think they damn well need to be put into community service to earn their assistance, not merely going to the mailbox for a living.

3. Pro Death Penalty. If you make the choice to kill someone, then you have to go if we catch you.

4. Gay/Lesbian: I'm anti-gay, pro-Lesbian, especially if they're sexy. Who gay/lesbians they're getting their jollies from doesn't bother me; just keep it to yourself (men) or let me watch (ladies).

There's a lot more, but it's not necessary to tell all.

I don't subscribe to what everyone else thinks, unless it's also what I think. I'm capable of making my own decisions and don't require the media, or radio personalities to tell me how I should think or feel. I don't follow the crowd, I make my own way; sometimes I go left, sometimes I go right, but mainly, I stay in the middle, always conscious of making the best choice, not following a party line of rhetoric.

As far as what you said about the people (looting/killing/raping, etc.)- I agree, that was BS. Moreover, if you dig up my posts from Katrina when that was hot, you'll see that I was anti-looting too. I fail to see how a 50" plasma is going to save anyone ***. We agree on that.

I don't think the gov't reacted poorly to Katrina. I faulted Nagin & the Governor for failing to have a plan. However, I think the government did move slow once it was over, and even though I'm not a Bush fan, I don't fault him for that, or FEMA for that matter.

As for the possibility: They did plan for it. I saw stuff on A&E/Discovery (Modern Marvels) ~pre-Katrina~ that said New Orleans was an engineering marvel. They went on to say that every drop of rain that falls on NO has to be pumped out of the city, no natural drainage... They also said (Should the worse happen) the levees could potentially damn the city if a Cat 5 hurricane hit the city, creating a bowl and holding the water until it could all be pumped out. However, the worse case came a little differently, it came in the form of a wind-whipped Lake Pontchartrain and two levee breaches, not from a torrential downpour. The scientists were right that time, let's hope they're wrong about California, and Yellowstone...

Hannidy & Limbaugh? They don't tell it like it is... They tell it like they think it is... I listen to them sometimes, when my XM Comedy is flaky. Those guys are sensationalists, pure and simple. They make some valid points, but the wanton, flagrant, and shameless kissing of the President's *** is just too much for me to tolerate...

Yeah, simple-minded and simplistic was somewhat redundant, but I was on a roll, and couldn't think of anything else... Didn't think you'd notice... Not to say you are simple- but some of what you said does over-simplify a big problem. That's like saying, "Let's balance the budget." How? "Just do it..."

Well, I'm done bashing you, if you're done bashing me... Or, we can continue, I'm off work tomorrow...

It's your move.

Ok, I'll cut straight to the chase. Blah, Blah, Blabbity, Blah. I like ultra-hot skanky lesbo ho's, Blabbity, Blah. My level of comprehension far succeeds your weak, pathetic, simplistic train of thought! I'm the shizzle bo dizzle fa nizzle, and you're not. Neener!...Neener!...Neener! Boo-Yah! In yo face! Your move.

Why write a short story when you can sum it up in one paragraph?

I think I am changing my mind. Hersch don't sound that bad anymore.

I wholeheartedly agree with all four of those, especially the pro-lesbian thing.

I saw stuff on A&E/Discovery (Modern Marvels) ~pre-Katrina~ that said New Orleans was an engineering marvel.
Yeah, uh, they revamped that into modern marvels: Engineering disasters and its on discovery. Happens to be my favorite channel. Where else can you learn about the lumber yard, secret jet fighters, and romans banging little boys all in one place?

Let's balance the budget." How? "Just do it..."
Thats easy. Fire everybody that works in Washington and don't re-elect any officials for 2 years.

Alot of views I read here are the heart of what is tearing America up. We're going back in time when we segreted African Americans from the White population. Now its not a matter of skin color, its now with whom we sleep with. Does the fact that I'm in love a man make me a bad person? What if I one day found the cure for cancer, would you all feel as if my name shouldn't be mentioned because I'm gay? What if a gay individual saved millions of lives somehow, would you feel their name shouldn't be mentioned? Why is it that if a person is gay, immediately they should be pushed under a carpet. I just don't understand that? Its no different then the 60's when African Americans were made to drink from other water fountains, or ride in different sections of a bus. Who I sleep with doesn't made me who I am. Its my qualities and heart that does. Honestly who the hell's business is it who anyone sleeps with? To touch on the original subject though, I agree that all aspects should be taught, the views the debates, everything. But to expand past the phrasing of "Mom" and "Dad" issue, did anyone ever consider other reasons why it may be inapporpriate using terms of "Mom" and "Dad?" What if a child is brought into this world to a single parent, or to a partent that was raped. To a child like that that constantly hears mommy and daddy terms most likely will start to feel segreted or feel as if they are weird. I say this because it happened to me growing up (single parent). I felt as if I was an outcast because I didn't have a Mom. So having everything based on a mom and dad thing can lead to hurt. What if a child has lost their parent at a young age. Always hearing mom and dad could be like rubbing salt into a deep cut for a child.

One last thing, I'm getting tired of hearing that its a mental illness to be gay. That has been proven false and was taken off the list of mental illnesses about 30 years ago, just so ya know
