and no, I wasn't driving a Mountaineer!

Was waaaaaay out in the country, (on a reservation, actually) running down a gravel road about 60 mph. Came over the top of a rise (a little "whoop-de-doo) and there was a red tail hawk in the middle of the road, about to enjoy his lunch. As I came at him, the hawk tried to fly...I jammed on the brakes, not wanting to hit it, and just when I thought I was going to make contact, the hawk drops the snake right in the middle of my hood and windshield, leaving the nastiest looking slime/gut trail across the bottom of the windshield. Did you know a 4 ft. bull snake can break your windshield wiper arm?

Somehow I thought of this board as soon as I pulled it off the hood...

ok, to start, no I dont have pic either and dont confuse this with a mattinear story.

I was heading home last summer on the exway and see this huge bird swooping down into the median a ways up.
As it gets down to ground level I am like cool, a fricken bald eagle.
Just as I am almost even with it, it was flying toward me, it takes a hard left flying right at me. As it swoops up it drops a small possium it had just snatched from the grass and drops it on the road right in front of me. There was no way to avoid hitting the possium. So I hear this thump and a crush the little bugger. As I keep going I look in the mirror and the eagle was landing where the possium lay. I thought somebeach, he had me kill and tenderize that damn possium so he could enjoy it without the fight.
Closes I have ever seen an eagle, it was pretty cool.
