If they can not produce the documentation to prove they are legal citizens they need to be completely cut off ALL assistance which includes medical.

The employer doesn't have to match social security deductions... because there aren't any. They can work for less and actually take home a bigger paycheck. Something is broken.

You can complain all you want about what is happening in Iraq and about the war on terror. They did during WWII also. That conflict took fourty years to resolve. People seem to expect that real life events play out like a reality TV show. In one TV season. You can complain, but I have worked hard and now economically things are going good for me. Things are going good for my fathers buisness, that I will likely be taking over soon. You are telling me that you would rather support people that would rather take a hand out as opposed to thoes of us who have worked hard for what we have. Some of us have been able to take a step forward. I guess you don't see that though.

I agree that there are two sides to the story. The employers that hire illegal immigrants should pay the consequence also.

There are all the jobs that Americans "wont" do? How many Americans are on welfare? Why do people on welfare have the option of deciding they "wont" do a certian job? They should have to work. They might complain that they wont make enough money but the thing is in order to make better money they have to earn it. I had to start at the bottom, like many of us have. It sucks if someone has to start at the bottom after they've already started a family and all that, but that's just poor, or no, planning.

There used to be this thing called survival of the fittest. Some of us still live by this. Why, I'm not so sure because it's obviously not the case any more.

It is most important that we all vote this year and going forward. Tell your family, friends whomever to get out there and VOTE!!!. I think that is our (legal americans) biggest problem is we all need to VOTE to get our message across!!!!. If we don't vote no one's going to listen.... If we do vote then we puit whom we want in office. I seen something on TV the other day saying more people voted for an american idle than voted in an election... is this true?? if it is then we are all in big trouble....

 

No. I am NOT in favor of handouts. I also am not in favor of foreign aid either. I think we should take care of our own before we take care of others. Many of the homeless in this country are veterans of war who have suffered severe mental disorders fighting wars for the wealthy. Wealthy people do not fight wars. Poor people fight wars. Our government will eventually turn their backs on our current Vets. Hillary Clinton wanted free health insurance for all veterans for the rest of their lives. Bush likes the military for his own purposes but not enough to give them free medical. Many people fighting in the war today are future homeless people.

I'm for the little guy. In previous posts it was mentioned that auto workers shouldn't get 25 or $30 an hour because it is unskilled labor. So what. Do the CEOs and other paid executives deserve the millions they earn off the sweat of others? NO. If every blue collar worker took a week off the business would go under. Give every CEO and executive the week off and no one would notice. The companies would still be pushing out it's products. People making $20 an hour are upset and jealous of the people making $30 an hour. There will also be someone to do a job cheaper. Well now all of a sudden we are upset at all the immigration in this country. Well now the people that earn $10 and $20 an hour are fearful of people undercutting them. Instead of them worrying about the people making more they need to look over their shoulder. And this cheap labor is good for the consumer.

USAFPatriot complained about Corporate scandal. It happened under the Bush administration by companies who gave heavily to Bushes campaign. And then while these executives were stealing us blind in Texas they were putting on million dollar additions to their homes because in the great state of Texas they can't take your home to pay off debts or fines levied by the courts.

In my eyes the Democrats are for the working Americans and Bush is for Corporate America. President Clinton even stated recently that his tax cuts were unfair. He said the wealthy people including himself made out like bandits. He said we needed the biggest breaks and not the wealthy. Taxes will go up again. This war is expensive. And it will be a Democrat who raises the taxes because someone has to pay the money back to all those foreign countries that we owe billions to.
