Vw R32

Not really lightning related, but worked on one of these cars last week(im a car audio installer) and was really interested in it. Had a little bit of speed to it. Anybody have any experiences with them, good or bad? I have been looking into getting a pocket rocket and I really like the looks of em. Thanks.

not a R32, but I bought a GTI 337. It is a limited edition, they only made 1500 or so in 2002. Recaro seats, Brembo's, BBS wheels, 6 speed, 1.8 Turbo. It is a really fun car to drive. I average about 28 miles to the gallon also. I've only done tints and a stereo in it myself since it is my daily driver.

BTW, how do you know it has some speed to it if you were installing a car stereo

Exactly why I install everything myself, haha..

Did the install myself including the box.
JL 12w6 V2, JL 500/1, JL 375/4, Kenwood Music Keg, 2 sets of 6 1/2" Boston Pro components, and a Kenwood X789. Sound great in that little thing.

Don't move the thread its Lightning related now....

I had a video of a tuner version that had various stages of tune for the car. I think the highest was somewhere near 500hp. Big bucks but it really rocked.

I'm spoiled when it comes to HP and driving a truck though. I just feel better sitting higher with 2 tons of metal around me.

Pricy

I think new R32's are in the $30's with a couple of options. Great cars and a lot of fun but a little pricy.
