Big Guy, Small car

Like of talked before, Im a large guy, 5 ft 9 350 lbs. I love my f150 because of the room. however Im looking for a good MPG car. My wife has a stratus, Great car but no room for me! Ive tried the grand am That aint gonna work either. Tried a ford probe, No dice.... Tried a VW bug New style That worked great! In fact had more belly room than i do in my f150. However there price tag is high.... So is there any large fellows on this site that drive Smaller cars that have room? what models are they.

Anyway....Have you tried a Ford Five-Hundred? They have a pretty good bit of room.

Good luck, and keep us informed.

Yes, I remember, but was it a Focus? For some reason I thought it was a small Chevy. he brutalized that thing, whatever it was.

No i have not looked into that, I also have been told the 300m's are huge inside and get around 30 MPG My folks also have a 2 door caddy 1997 that gets 28 to 30 mpg, they fit me nice. Im looking for a used car in the 3 to 5 thousand range. And was just open to suggestions. Thanks

Oh And dont worry about me being senstive to my size, Ive had MANY beer drinking buddies that dont let me ever forget. But when they need that huge woodstove or fridge moved,, I know who they call.. Plus hell they are all bull legged, bald headed, Missin fingers, or even 4 foot nothing.

Buick LeSabre or a Park Avenue. Plenty of belly room and great gas mileage with the 3.8 liter v6. ~33 mpg highway.

I missed that. I wonder if it is still here somewhere...unless it was deleted when Steve did the upgrade.

I like you am a big guy. I have driven some small vehicles, and the one I found reasonably comfortable was the Focus. Now when I say this I am talking about the 3 door model. Any vehicle with 4 doors are made with smaller doors. I even find the screw to be less comfortable than my scab. Even the Mustang is relatively easy to get in and out of (except it is tougher due to the height) as it has 2 large doors, not 4 small ones. I had previously thought about getting a second vehicle to save on gas, but it would not have saved me any money figuring in payments, insurance, etc. That vehicle would have been a Focus. This may change as the price goes up.
Go to the dealer and see how you like the 3 door focus. Might be just what you need.
