The Wings out shot the Oilers 57-25. I'd say they were in control of the game except for the score til the end.

The #s say they were dominent. What I saw for the first 2 periods didnt support those #s. I am not saying they didnt play a good game. They didnt seem to have the flow that they normally do.
They won way more face offs and the shots on goal were high, but they didnt do real well on the power plays and on set ups near the goal.Passing also seemed off. They have made some changes in player pairing for the play offs. Once these players adjust they will be back to that flow. Todays game will tell the story.
Just pees me off I am at work and wont be seeing it. Thank god for Tivo.

Anyway, the Wings are the best in hockey..

Sled...

Oilers played a trap style defensive game for some reason the first game which allowed the Red Wings to shoot alot from the perimeter but not get as many scoring chances. I have watched them play most of the games this year and haven't seen that before. Hopefully they go back to offensive cause its too nerve racking to watch all the play in the Oilers game. First period just ended in the second game, looks like its pretty back and forth, back to normal hockey for the Oilers.

The refs sure put the whistle away in OT of game 1, old time hockey, I liked it better.
