Large Attachments
Large Attachments
We're having a hell of a time getting large attachments out over email here. I'm talking like 5-7MB zip files. Can't even get em out of Outlook without Mapi spooler issues. Should this be expected with attachments this size? That's what I've been telling them so far.
absolutely....
Do you run your own mail server? I block email over 10 megs but anything over 2-3 megs is unreliable at best...
If you are running through a remote web server the connection is either timing out or the remote server is blocking the mail due to size.
What about putting it on your website and then emailing a link to the file.

well if you are using a pop connection try going into outlook under services or accounts (depends on version) go to the advanced section of your pop connection and drag the server timeout as far to the right as you can. It will at least help to cut down on your client dropping the connection. Nothing you can do about the server side though
