How about that nice 3 game sweep my Cubs put on ya'll this weekend? It's our year, damnit! If they can somehow channel the timely hitting they've had, when they need it, the Cubs can be dangerous. Lord knows we need the hitting behind the lackluster starting rotation we have. GO CUBS, BOOO Cards!

I believe that the Cubs AND the Brewers are going to have an excellent year this year.....NL Central is going to be fighting tooth and nail this year....its gonna be GREAT!

...as for the sweep....yeah....that surprised the hell out of me....I did not think we would lose the Carpenter game....but oh well....I felt we were gonna hold the game yesterday....then LaRussa put that ****-up Izzy in.....it really pisses me off that Izzy gets all this credit about being a great closer....but LaRussa tends to put him in during "easy" save situations....then, when we really need a closer (like last night)....numb-nuts gives up a grand-slam.....I would rather see a blind retard with a missing arm on the mound than Izzy.....

Yeah, I've never seen the big deal with Isringhausen. Don't get me wrong he's a good closer, but there have been more times in the past couple years like last night where he gives up runs instead of stopping them. You think LaRussa is thinking, "maybe now he starts to take charge?"

I drove right by the new stadium last week on I-64 -- cripes that thing only sits about 15 feet off the highway! There will be a lot of accidents right there as everyone slows down to try to get a peak inside the stadium as they're driving by on the interstate!

It is even worse when you live near STL.....Izzy is a "hometown boy"....(grew up a few miles away on the IL side)....so everyone loves him.....which drives me nuts since I know baseball and know what a closer is supposed to save games.....but Izzy is treated like a favorite child...so no matter what F-up is going on, they all still love him.....

....another thing that drives me nuts is the sportscasters and media not giving Eckstien the props he deserves as a SS.....just cause the dude is 3'-nothing does not mean he can't play the game....I feel he is one the the greatest in the came currently....but just cause he does not "fit the mold" they rag on him all the time like he is some pathetic underdog....at least he got to be an all-star last year....

I doubt there will be many accidents....but it sure does cause one hell of a bottle neck on an already over-burdened bridge.....
