way back when i had to go into new york state to get my 5 speed. couldnt find one in new jersey. i did want the 5.4 motor, but chose the tranny i wanted over the engine size.
there are plenty of good reasons for wanting a stick shift.
its fun to drive, supposed mpg increase, its fun to drive, only about 4 or so quarts to a tranny fluid change, its fun to drive, supposed more rear wheel hp vs automatic, its fun to drive, you can jump start it by rolling it, and most importantly, its fun to drive.
i have over 100,000 miles on my truck and the clutch is still going strong.

That's 45 GB of music, which is NOT going to fit on my 4GB nano.
Also, I hate radio. I would get sick of paying every month for XM or SIRIUS for the use of maybe two channels.
I'll stick with the CDs for now.

I would have loved to have ordered my '05 Regular Cab with some sort of "sport package" in it. The 5.4 engine, with a nice short-throw manual shifter, and maybe some refinements to the suspension components to improve handling....
I think Ford could make some good money by offering a few specialty packages for these trucks that focused on niche segments of the market -- performanced-oriented street trucks, serious off-roaders, big-time trailer pullers, etc. They could offer these packages in limited quantities, and maybe even make you special order them, which would drive up the price for these select models.....

But they won't. If I could have gotten a 150 in an stick, I would have. But, there are slim to none. I almost bought a F-350 PSD 6 spd on Friday, but the damn thing sold on Saturday morning.
And it was a fully loaded XLT too
