Dogs

I'm going to look at some dogs in a couple hours at the shelter.

There's a cute looking Rhodesian Ridgeback....a Boxer/Sheperd mix....and a blue heeler.

When I was watching the news this AM they showed a couple puppies that are at the same shelter....they were cute as a button.

Thats great! I know very little about the ridgebacks, the healers are great dogs, very smart. The boxer/sheperd should be a very good dog. Sheperds are great dogs, just have a tendency to have the hip disease that cripples them as they get older. Boxers have a short life span for some reason, but are very good dogs. I appreciate anyone that saves a dog from a shelter. Hope you find one that makes a great friend as mine has.

The Rhodesian is part Hound so that helps. The face is definately hound and in the picture I dont see much of a ridge.

Healers are wonderful dogs. They train well, very smart, great companions, and very obedient.

I could be mistaken, but I think the ridgeback is bred to hunt lions, or was originally.

that and general working/protection dogs in South Africa. They are the kind of dog you would not leave alone with a kid.
