What program do you use to play audio

Help, I download music from limewire and it sounds great. Next time I play the same tune with windows media player it sounds like crap. Mater of fact, any tune I play useing win media player sounds awlful. I checked the settings on graphic equalizer and are pretty much in the middle settings. I have a fairly good set of speakers and I know they sound great except when I use win media player. My stupid question is, Is there a better player out that I can download?? Any sugestions, Thanks. Steve

I'm positive that winamp is safe. I've been using it for years. I originally downloaded it (older version of course) sometime in the mid/late 90's and haven't used anything since.

Been using it since version 2, they are now on version 5. Once you get to digging in the program, there are "plug-ins" you can download for everything under the sun. VERY flexible program. You'll wonder why Microsoft Media Player even competes with Winamp, which it doesn't.

Well I got it, But can't figure out how to list "my music" One of those learning curves I got to live with. I got about 4 gigs of music in "my music" folder and can't get it to "see" that folder and play it or even list it, I'm useing win xp home right now. Guess it's tome to read the manual

I'm a loyal winamp user. It really kicks the lamas ****! I can't imagine using anything else for audio or video. Just wish webmasters could encode it instead of windows media crap'layer on web sites.
