This stuff here is from the FL lemon law statute.
the manufacturer, within 40 days, shall repurchase the motor vehicle and refund the full purchase price to the consumer, less a reasonable offset for use, or, in consideration of its receipt of payment from the consumer of a reasonable offset for use, replace the motor vehicle with a replacement motor vehicle acceptable to the consumer. The refund or replacement must include all reasonably incurred collateral and incidental charges.
I couldn't find anything about them refunding your mod money either.
It is an affirmative defense to any claim under this chapter that: The nonconformity is the result of an accident, abuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications or alterations of the motor vehicle by persons other than the manufacturer or its authorized service agent
It wouldn't surprise me if Ford tried to play hardball with you because of your lift. If you go the Lemon law route they'll blame your problems on that.
What problems are you looking to Lemon Law it for? Or are you going the "days out of service" route?

Well, I'll be going both if Im forced to go this route. Right now, Im experiecing a LOUD knocking noise in my motor that they say is normal, my 4wd problems, and my transmission problems. I have a huge delay going into reverse. My truck has been in the shop about 10 times for at least 50 days all together. Im sure they will try to blame my 4wd problems on the lift but there is no denying it because I have documents of complaining about it since the truck was stock. .

My truck makes a knocking sound also but I've heard it on all of the 04's so I guess it's normal on the '04's. Just recently(like yesterday) I noticed my truck is pausing before going into reverse. If I put it in reverse and push the gas it kind of shutters before it starts going. I'm taking the truck into the dealer possibly monday to see whats wrong.

Check out my thread 'Help: 4WD Problems' thread in the 2004+ F-150 because theres a video and you'll hear the noise. Its a VERY loud screeching noise, definatly something wrong with my passenger side hub and the solenoid.

I don't know, but my service manager said there is an updated valve body. But, please keep this in mind since you are out of warranty. When your engaging reverse, you REALLY need to be careful. Just make sure its already engaged before you let out the brake or press the gas. . or you could end up like me, with a transmission rebuild because of your reverse clutches going out!

Lemon laws in general would not allow you to recover costs for modifying a vehicle, only costs for repairs, towing etc (those would be the "reasonably incurred collateral and incidental charges).

I suppose the dealer could try to use your mods as a reason to deny remedy, but I would think they would have to show that your mods actually caused the problems you've been having.

If they don't cover the all of the money I've put into the damn truck there is no point in going Lemon Law.

I guess she'll be gone by the time the mileage hits 36,001.

Why should the dealer cover anything beyond the original vehicle in the configuration it was in when you bought it?

When did you buy this vehicle anyway, and when did you first start having problems with it?

They may give you trouble cause you had problems that you knew about and you continued to modify the truck. I also agree with the previous poster, why should they pay you for the mods you put onto the truck or anything else besides what the truck came with stock and any repair bills you may have incurred?
