USB Question for IT folks....

One thing that I found is if you have devices that draw power from the USB it'll get overloaded. My wife has an external hard drive and laptop cooler that she plugs into the USB hub on her desk. If she plugs in the hard drive while the cooler is running the computer won't recognize it. If she turns on the cooler while the hard drive is running the whole thing freaks out. So, it's one or the other. Something to consider if you have a bunch of power hungry stuff plugged in.

I doubt this is your problem though since it's effecting your onboard USB too.

.....well...unless I can get some other ideas, I think I am going to give up on this USB card.....I can even transfer files from my new digicam with it....but I can from other ports.....what a waste of $20.....
