IT People, Dig THIS!!!

I just "created" 1.04TB of storage on my Win2K domain... Almost a year ago, we bought a Snap Server and two expansion modules, equalling 2.4TB after setting up the RAID5... We bought these to house our recordings off of the phone switch (EVERY ACD call made or received - not PBX calls)...

Now, a year later, we've only filled up roughly half of the 1.35TB partition. So, I decided to use iSCSI Initiator on one of my Win2K servers and mount the second partition (1.04TB) on it.

iSCSI ROCKS!!!

That's cool and all but I guess I'm not really impressed. A little money and a little knowledge and you're there.

Hey UC...

Just playin'

I was pretty dang proud of myself. All of my knowledge has come to me via "trial by fire", so sometimes it takes me a little banging my head against the wall before I figure it out. This only took me a day (Not totally dedicated to this, of course) and a couple of hours this morning.

Now, what's the best way to migrate everyone's files over there and then remap them? Hmmmmmmmmm....
