Here's my top three...

1.) Full Metal Jacket

2.) Full Metal Jacket (I watched it again.)

3.) Full Metal Jacket (And again)

If wussy feel good movies that aren't necessarily war movies count, then I'll add

4.) Heartbreak Ridge

Another war movie with a different perspective -

5.) M*A*S*H* (The original big screen movie)

Sure you don't mean "Black Shhep Squadron"? I loved that show. I used to stay up late at night and watch it with my dad 30 years ago.

Full Metal Jacket was good, right up until the Sr. Drill Sergeant got killed... When they went to Vietnam, the movie suddenly started to "suck" for me...

The only good part in that Vietname sequence was in the helicopter... Good, if youappreciate irony- that is... Some lines I remember:

"Get some, get some... Get some!"
"If they run, they're VC. If they stand still, they're well-disciplined VC."

"How can you kill women & children"

"Easy, you don't lead'em as much..."

Once R. Lee Emery got killed, that killed the movie... For me.
