130mph in a 73 Ranger XLT with a built 460 Police Interceptor on a long stretch of backroad on the way to Kingstree, SC...

 

i went 146 in my 1967 Toronodo with the barrel speedometer. The numbers ended at 130 then 10 lines to zero. It read 6 miles an hour. Slight downhill run. 106 on my 750 honda.

 

1970 Impala 2 door, 350HO modded. I pegged the speedo, which was one of those big linear ones that went to 120. Had some room to the right of 120, I figured I was 140-145 in a 55 zone going into a 45 zone.

 

I went about 110 in my Dodge Intrepid before it shut down on me. That thing was fast for a big boat. I wish i could of bypassed the computer to see what it really had.

 

Fastest Driven: 110 MPH in the Woody Wagon, damn computer, it'll do over 135 mph stock
I've had my truck up to about 106 mph going down hill racing a Hemi, we all know who won that race :o
I've had our 1997 Jeep ZJ up to 100 because I was pissed and missed my exit
My dad's 1998 Ranger won't go above 95 or so

Fastest Passenger: 140 MPH in a 1992 Taurus SHO, those are some fast little suckers. And I had it on video...

 

225ish mph on a 2005 Yamaha R1 crotch rocket....in a 25 mph school zone. Front wheels were off the ground until 165ish. Oh ya, thats after a 12 pack. I was fearless.

First time I flew on a air bus, I looked out the window and saw the lights of plane on the night horizon, after I blinked, all I saw was the com trail lit up by the moon....You ( I ) have no perception of speed in a camly flowin air craft.....same is true at night at 120 mph on a highway, thier are no objects vissable to give you a perception of speed until you pass trafic lights, or over take police cars...

 

I forgot this one in my 1977 F-100 4sp 302 speedo only went to 85 mph, t I could get the needel to wrap arround to 15 MPH this truck had no power stearing or brakes, only a red maple leaf in the back window....and a stuffed pig wearing a police uniform hanging off the bumper and a crused kitty tale in the flue door.....

Well I can tell you at 160+/- in broad day light... telephone poles look like fence post on a fence at 60, going by.

Driver: 90ish in an '87 Mercury Cougar

Buried the needle in my 92 5.0 mustang. It stops at 140 but they arent exactly accurate at that speed so I really cant say. I'll stick with 139ish.

I do know that when I tried to put the windows up they only got half way and buckled inward and would go no further. I slowed down put them up and took off again.
