Be sure you are using the same, or very similar grease, or you will create a much bigger problem.

Never mix grease types.

That's kind of my thoughts, honestly I probably never buy the same tube twice anyway. More honest, I really can't tell you whats in the gun now.

There is a wide variety. Lithium, silicon based, and I dont know what all. Each claims to be superior to the others. I figure as long as there is a cushion between the moving parts.. Then the parts wont wear as fast.

If you mix two incompatible greases (?), you end up with a watery non-grease mess.

Much worse than a "never been greased" joint.

Squirt some in there, then check it in about a week. If the grease comes running out of the boot, then you used the wrong type.
