Verizon Blackberry?
Verizon Blackberry?
Anyone have one? Care to shed some light on functionality on the VZ network?
I'm conetmplating tossing my v710 to the wife (who really would like to have it) and picking up a Blackberry. We're still tied to a contract with VZ and have been very satisfied with their service... thus, we're not really looking to jump ship...
Verizonwireless.com only lists TWO Blackberrys on their site -- a Blackberry 7130e and Blackberry 7250.
Both look like they're going to require a wad of cash to have webaccess and service...
Any thoughts on the matter? Any other options that are available that aren't being shown here?
Thanks!!!

if going to stay with vzw get the 7130e,(for the evdo) i own a cell phone store in jax, but we dont sell vzw or else i could help you out on price! if you were going to change i would suggest tmobile(b/c there blackberry plan is only 19.99 extra) if you get the 7130e before the 18th i'll send a rebate for a free ipod shuffle that i have in the store. if your into having your email instantly you will love the bb
In the past the owner of my company had a blackberry and he was able to sync with both his comcast account and our business account through exchange server activesync. Works pretty nice. He has since jumped to the Treo 650. I dont have specifics about those models you mentioned but if you cant get your answers let me know and I'll contact my VZ rep on Monday.
I've got a Verizon Treo 650. This things better than my moms blackberry 7250. You can use bluetooth dial up networking. The email is easier to setup. Also I've got a 500 meg sd card to store pictures and movie on. The camera pretty descent.
I've got a Verizon 7250 and it's a neat phone I guess. I like the full keyboard, and the e-mail thing is nice, but I can honestly say I NEVER use the internet function. It's too slow, and too few websites are easy to navigate to be worth the hassle.
Although, after a while it started to bog down due to having a lot of old emails etc on it, and it drives me nuts.
I'm kinda in the middle on it, I guess the only thing about it I really like is the keyboard (although not having to use a lame and easy to lose stylus is a big plus too).

That scroll wheel makes it harder to go thru links. The stylus is a little bit easier to click links with. The only problem I have with the browser is the 2 meg download limit. You have to use a seperate program to download more than that.

Thanks for the insight on these guys... I'm going to look into the Treo a little bit and go from there... I'm not certain but this might be an item that I table for a later date... I just can't justify the expense involved and I don't believe that the boss will be anxious to pay for something like this...
