USAF from 91-96 then 98-02. I was an SP at Robins, Izmir, Selfridge, and Charleston. Field work is fun work, I loved that part. Had too many TDY's to count and wanted more, which is part of the reason I got out. It didn't make sense to send people who didn't want to go down range when there were plenty of people who wanted to go but were forced to stay home.

In my opinion it makes no difference if you were active duty or not. You are just as much a vet, in my eyes, as I am or any others. Without the family and their support there would be no vets... 
It's always nice when the hard work and sacrifices we lowly spouses have contributed is recognized.
