I'm trying to get the extended warraty transfered to my name but there is a small problem. I did not do it when I bought the truck 9 months ago.... I did not know you had to tranfer it, I just tought it was something that would stay with the truck.

I went to the dealer to get something minor fized and they told me that they could not do it because the extended warranty was uinder the original owners name.


Another problem is that the original owner moved I have absolutely no way to get it touch with him.


Has anybody ever had such a problem ?

i would like to get the warranty transfere into my name since I have over a year left on it.

Some people told me that some friendlier dealers might fix the truck even though I am not the original owner but my local dealer wont.


My last option is getting a fake ID card made with my picture and the original owner's name (jk)

 

CPO warranty is automatically transferred, ESP warranty last I knew has a $50 transfer fee and has to be done within so many days, think it was either 30 or 90 days. Best bet is to call Ford and ask!
