It is always the same when fixing something from afar. You have one person that knows what they are doing, and one that knows nothing. All it takes is for one simple little mistake and the whole thing is a mess. The dumb end can't explain what is happening because he doesn't know how, and the smart end is sitting there scratching his head thinking it should be working.

Thanks again for the help. I'm just happy to have it working. Brother-in-law actually commented on how good I was getting. He said unless I really knew what I was doing I wouldn't have known where to even look for the problem.

Now don't forget to save your routers setting somewhere so that you can restore them later.

Do you think that you could get cable? I got that in my house and I like it better then DSL, and I think it may even be (factually) better then DSL. The only reason I ask is because I can't get DSL but can get cable. Im sure you probably already looked into it though.
