Well it finally time.

As of today and 168,560 miles i have taken the ole F-150 in for some much needed maint. This truck has been amasing as to its reliability. I bought it with 6 miles on it in 2/97 Its now getting new lower and upper ball joints, new u joints, new starter and power cable, a tune up and new nerf bars. All these parts are OEM and have performed beyond all expectations.

cost :
ball joints 43 each= 86.00 and guy installing for 40 a side
upper ball joints 51 each same 40 per side to install.
new u joints up in the axles 22 each and 15 to install each.
new starter 135.00 and power cable 26 installed 35 bucks.
tune up, plugs, wires 140.00 installed 58 bucks
new nerf bars 200 and installing for free.
Total 932.00 not bad for 9 years of trouble free driving.

Go FORD!!!

WOW. Identical trucks. Identical colors. Identical body styles. Bought at identical times. Identical mileage. Small world.

I was going to make a similar post myself but it does look like he got some pretty decent labor rates; I think I might have splurged.

He no doubt has to drink cheap beer, to be able to fire a few rounds out of that 50.

Lets see its 2 degrees, snowing like hell, garage is not heated (yet) i am working 12 days 8-8 6 days a week. No way i'm doing it no way, 283 bucks is chicken feed when the wrench freezes to your hand jsut touching it. Its a small price to pay for labor. He charges 45 bucks an hour labor and its worth every penny. Beer was after shooting never before or during and i drink southern comfort not that stuff featured there...

No heated garage? I'd heat my garage before I'd heat my home. I assume it's not air conditioned then.
