That sucks.....

That I know who he is and remember many of the Three's Company shows before they were re-runs.

He was a great actor and funny, I always enjoyed him.

The Andy Griffith Show was truely a kinder gentler place in time.

One of the movies on my all time top ten list is 'The Ghost And Mister Chicken'.

10-4 Barney.

I had never heard of it.
Found it on amazon for $13, sounds funny.
Best thing about Knots was if he was in it, then it is always something you can watch with the kids and everybody finds funny.

Wilber gives a speech to the town at the park which is priceless.
I have had to speak publicly many times and that scene has always been my inspiration.

p.s.
Your kids will love the movie.

I watched Herbie (the new one) with my Son the other day. The entire time I was thinking back to the first Herbie movie that I remember seeing...it was Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo and I saw it at the drive-in with my family. Don Knotts was in that one. Great memory. RIP, Wheely.

I thought of "The Ghost and Mister Chicken" as soon as I saw this thread. I remember seeing it first at the cinema as a child. My brother and I watched it together. It was the first film we were allowed to see on our own. I was very young at the time. I'm not going to say what it cost then.

I can't remember if I seen herbie the love bug first; or herbie goes to monte carlo.
They did pretty good with the new one IMO.
They made him seem pretty real.
I even had a tear well up when he wanted to commit sucide.
I was thinking to myself, "Matt" (that's what my friends call me)
"Matt, He's just a car! Why are you so upset over this?"
Then I asked my self, "Matt, why did you just call him a he? He's just a VW bug!"
Then thought.. "Doh, you did it again."
