i have the mach 3 and it work great. when in the army i would use electric first thing in the morning while driving to PT and then wet shave in the shower after PT. Shaving in a hot steam filled shower helps soften and prevents razor burn. i shave down because if i shave up it irritates my skin. also different gels and foam make a difference. lately Ive been using Brute shaving gel.

I'll second that. I had a rough time with the Mach on my neck. It would break out something fierce until I figured out that the hair on my neck grows in a different direction than on my face. If I shave with the nap, I don't have a problem. I do shave every other day though.

Heck, I gave up shaving for the most, years ago... I trim along the edges of the beard on the cheeks with my Mach 3, trim the neckline up a little, and trim the beard with my hair trimmer and a 3/4" guard once a month, ... I hate shaving. It's a waste of time.
