That would be a track I would love to run around on. I have raced on a couple oval with a buddies bomber class car. I have run once on a road coarse track, wasnt racing though. Man, road coarses are way more fun. Ovals just get boring after a 25 or so laps.

I went to the vegas race this year and would have to agree to a point. Was a constant circle of cars and was hard to find my driver 1/2 the time. But it was exciting as hell too, was 11 rows from the track and the vibrations just went thru you.
Cart was exciting too, different noise and smell though.

I was amazed that a 1800 lbs Cart car could shake the gound the way they would at MIS. I can see Nascars doing it, but they weigh alot more. But there again a Cart car was putting down around 4500 lbs of downforce. They say at speed they could literally drive upside down and not fall.

Cool thing was about cart cars, there was a piece of paper on the track and a single car past over it during qualifing at well over 200 mph, paper never moved, but during a race when a pack went by it was hard to keep your hat on.

Both IRL cars and CART cars still create enough downforce to drive upside down at speed.

Mario Andretti and AJ Foyt can't even claim those honors!
Not to mention Stewart's triple crown treat!

Gordon may be the best stock car driver their is, but Stewart is the best all around race car driver. Their isn't a racing series Stewart has raced in that he hasn't won in.

Senior is near the top of NASCAR drivers, but he didn't even have as many wins as DW! Regardless of what anyone says, Sr. was a points racer. That is how he ended up w/ 7 championships and w/ only 76 wins. Grodon has 73 wins w/ 'only' 4 championships. DW had 84 wins and 'only' 3 championships. Stewart only has 24 wins w/ 2 champiohsips.
I had heard rumor Paul Tracy was thinkin of givin NASCAR a try. I was a Tracy and Al Jr fan before the IRL/CART fiasco. I think the split hurt the CART fans and the IRL didn't draw like they wanted.

Tracy and Richard Childress having been playing together - I believe the last I heard was Tracy wants to run several Busch races and a few cup races this year, and be fulltime NASCAR in 2007.
