That's what I said in one of these threads too.
It will be fun for a week or so maybe, then no one will use it except to complain about somebody. Then we will all have negative judgments of our characters.

In the short term, the reputation feature will have little value. But as we flash-forward a few months (if I keep it turned on), the accumulated data will hold some value...for some. Just like with posts, some people care about the reputation bestowed on fellow members. Others don't care one bit. I, for one, care very little about posts or reputation. As I noted, it's an experiment right now. I have it setup in the same way as PM's, in that you need to have a certain number of posts and time on the forums in order to specifically give negative reputation, so some newbie alter-ego cannot come here and slam everyone. This might change, at this point I don't have enough imperical data to make a decision on it either way.

Edit: I guess someone out there doesn't like me too much. Oh well, HIS/her loss. But I think I know who that is too.

 

I like seeing the reputation comments. Some are pretty funny. I especially like the "naughty Catholic school girl" one. I think I know who made that comment.
