Shani Davis, first black to win winter gold

Shani Davis becomes first black to win gold in Winter Olympics Games, ever!!! Wow!

http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/tor.../speed_skating

Reminds me of Wendell O. Scott, first black to win a Major Nascar Race,
and Tiger Woods, first black to win a Major golf.

Again, good show..

Now, I will just sit back and listen to all the flack on this one!!!

In Canada CBC got the broadcast rights. It's on just about 24-7. My Dad only leaves his room to take a dump or get something to eat & drink.

So a black American got the gold?? Big whooppie!! He's just another athlete, as far as I can see. Be proud that he's an AMERICAN. Forget the coloured crap. That's how shyte starts, for cripes sake. He's AN AMERICAN!!!!!!! Who cares if he's red, green or purple. HE"S AN AMERICAN!!!!!!!

Did I make my sentiments clear??

No, you didn't.

Maybe what you call "clear" is not clear to others.

Why didn't you make this comment when they came with that the thread "do you hate black people"?? Why didn't you make this comment when they came with the thread about using the "N" word??

Not only that EVERY newscast, not just one, CLEARLY states, that Davis is the FIRST African American.. Let me say that again oh mighty one, EVERY BROADCASTS puts that qualifer in there, and states Shani Davis race.

So, that makes EVERYBODY wrong and you right..

This is just like when Tiger won a Major, it is not the norm. And yes I am proud..

Did i make my sentiments clear????

Well congrats to Shani on the medal but IMO, skin colour shouldn't matter.
As long as the media continues to bring this up, there'll be problems about race.
Once you force people to look on another group as "different", then divisions will arise.

Hey guy, I agree with you 100%.. However, people can't have it both ways. Some (not all) will mention race, when it shows a bad light, but when a good light comes, it is we all the same.

Like I said, I agree with you 100%

Actually, his exact words were... "Bite me, Cracker." Let's keep things accurate please.

BTW... I always pull for the Jamaican bobsledding team.

Actually, I believe you are wrong. It's the other way around. When a black does something good, his race is mentioned. If he does something bad, it's usually not. That being said, who cares what color he is. Are you trying to win votes with the black community? Otherwise, he's American. Until liberals such as yourself stop pointing out dumb crap such as this, race will always matter b/c you say it makes a difference. If it doesn't, why bring it up? MY question is this: What kind of person is he? Is he more like T.O., or Denzel Washington? THATS ALL THAT MATTERS!

If you ask me I think we should not have been aloud to compete with the red white and blue on his uniform since he is not there to represent the U.S. He is there for himself and no one else. His interview after the event showed he doesn’t have what it takes to be a gold medal champ. He never even congratulated the other two medal winners. Isn’t the first thing you learn after you win or lose a game you shake hands with the other team. So I say send him to some place like Iraq with his attitude and then he how much he likes being a loner. He probably got an "F" in works and plays well with others in school. Well that is just my $.02

Well, I guess you told me, eh?? That eh means I'm Canadia, so no, I'm not trying to win any votes from your black community. I'm stating that I really don't care what colour a person is. I stated that in my previous post. Re-read the part where I mentioned red, yellow or purple.

Now am I clear?

Also, I never came across the threads re. I hate black people, or whatever it was and the post about the N word.

And what the heck is the N word?
