It's back up to almost 3 dollars here (93 octane).

I believe E10 is 10% ethanol.

E10 is unleaded gasoline (usually 87 octane around here) that has 10% ethanol (corn) added, which boosts octane to 89% (again, in the blends around here).

While you usually get about 3-5% less gas mileage burning E10 instead of straight unleaded, in this part of the midwest, E10 is usually $.02-.04 cents cheaper per gallon than "regular" unleaded. Using E10 helps the local economy, and since the cost per mile is about a wash, I usually use the E10...

I think the lowest I have seen here so far is around $2.10. Even when gas got real cheap a few months ago, it never got below$2.00 at the cheapest store in the city. Right now depending on the area of the city, it is between $2.10 an $2.40. I couldn't tell you the last time I have seen under $2.00 a gallon

It's around that here too. Interesting thing is that it is still cheaper than 25 years ago! (considering inflation of course)

Ahh, don't start that, I am not living 25 years ago. I drink bottled water sometimes also, but I only spend a buck or so for a bottle, I don't buy 25 gallons of the stuff.

Just thought I would throw that in since someone will usually bring up the bottled water thing.

around here 2.099 to 2.299 for reg 93 is around 2.599

And I'll be the brave Canuk to tell you, once again, that our prices are pretty well 4 times higher than yours. The prices you qoute are per gallon (US) and the prices we have are per litre. 4 of our litres =1 of your gallons (US). AND that's comparing our dollar (Cdn) to yours dollar (US), but our dollar is about 75 to 80% of your dollar, so add another buck to round it off to $8 Cdn per US gallon.
There, I brought up the "ours is higher than yours because I live in a foreign country" comment.

Hey onbelay, to run that on your truck, you have to have bought a special edition truck right? You can't just go throw that stuff into any vehicle right?

Wal-Mart just opened a new gas station here in town and all the local stations had to drop the price to compete with wal-mart.

1.94 here, and I got premium for 2.00 on friday because it was fantastic friday or some crap, however it felt good to fill up the truck for 40.00

No. you have to have "special equipment" to run the E85, which is 85% ethanol and only 15% gasoline. This is E10, and we've had it in Nebraska since the late 70's...no problems when running it in any fuel injected engine...http://www.e10unleaded.com

Ford Motor Company

Approval applies to all Ford products including Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, and Ford pickups.

"Ford endorses the use of reformulated "cleaner-burning" gasolines to improve air quality…These gasolines may contain oxygenates up to 10% ethanol or 15% MTBE."
