Imagine driving across the bridge and have that thing poke through right in front of you.

Something like this happened in Madison a couple of months ago. There was a truck hauling the worlds largest excavator bucket on the freeway and tried to go under a low bridge. It took off the whole bottum of the bridge. They said it will take about two years to repair, and this was like the third time it has happened. WTF don't they raise the bridge up a couple of feet this time and while they are at it dig out under the bridge. Sometimes you have to ask what isn't going through the engineers heads.
