You were an online stalker and could have been making crap up... face it, you f'd yourself on this one.

Although I agree that what Faster did is not the smartest of things, give him a little break. He's still young and needs to learn a few lessons about life and the people in it. He thought he was trying to help someone out.

And I totally agree with dzervit. There are many ways for someone to find out about you via the interent, which is very scary. All people have to do is pay a small fee, sometimes no fee, and they can find out anything about you. I think those sites should be shut down. I pay to have a private phone number for a reason. But I don't pay for any Joe Schmoe to find things out about me.

yeah, why would Acer investigate... you IM'd someone you didn't know with information that was not given to you by said person. What's to investigate? You did a stupid move, came off as a stalker and damaged their image. I'd not only fire you but sue your **** until your on the street and poor.

If need to learn something real quick: You didn't get f'd because you were nice, you got F'd because you didn't follow protocol and/or common sense. There is a difference... a H_U_G_E difference!!!

It's a shame that such is the way of the world, Faster. You did make a serious mistake, with good intentions. I stopped and gave a lift to someone who needed gas a while back. He had a can already, and I just drove him and his son to the store. He got his gas, and while pouring it in (it was raining) commented that it was flowing too slow. I handed him my lock-blade knife (always razor sharp) and told him told him to cut an air breather in the can. He did, and in the process, the blade closed (he didn't lock it out all the way) and cut his finger to the bone. Nothing ever did come of it, but I was worried for a long time that he'd make some deal of my knife cutting his finger.

Moral is, sometimes bad chit happens to good people, and learn a lesson from you mistake.

I agree with Lovetrucks. You gotta watch what you do today.

About 12 years ago a friend of mine from work had just dropped off his 10 year old daughter at school. When he was leaving he noticed a stray dog scaring this little girl walking up to the school. Well he chased the dog away and helped the crying girl up to the door of the school. Well the next day the front page of the Atlantic City Press had a huge headline of a man in his 30s driving a pickup truck trying to pick up little kids at the local elemetary school. The City was abuzz to find this man. Well my friend called an attorney who escorted him to the police station. They resolved everything but he said it was a very scarey and embarassing situation.

This incident caused him to no longer be a good samaratan. He minds his own business. It's sad that society has turned this way because of a few bad apples.

It is a sad thing, the way people have gotten to be.

I used to stop and offer whatever assitance i could to someone that was broke down along the road. It didn't matter male or female. Now I am very hesitant, and normally don't stop at all, but I feel bad for passing them up, but one needs to look out for themselves today, as there are Aholes out there that will make it bad for you, and unfortunatly they aren't labels so you could tell them from the decent folk. The good thing is that today just about everyone has a cell phone or two, so they at least can call someone, provided there is service.

I feel bad for him losing his job here, but i think a phone call or even the Im from a work computer on company time, with maybe a supervisors supervision, would have been a better choice.
